Jana Scholze is Associate Professor and Course Director of the MA in Curating Contemporary Design at Kingston University, London. She was previously Curator of Contemporary and Modern Furniture and Product Design at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London for 12 years, where she contributed to important acquisitions and major exhibitions, including Cold War Modern: Design 1945–1970 in 2008, and co-curated the exhibition What is Luxury? in 2015.

Scholze is an external examiner at the Geneva University of Art and Design and supervises PhD students at the Royal College of Art and the University of London. She regularly speaks as a lecturer and critic and publishes on issues of curatorial and design practice internationally. She is also the exhibition review editor for the journal Design and Culture.
