Joni Taylor is a curator and founder of the New Landscapes Institute. Her work explores the transformation of landscapes and addresses contemporary urban and environmental conditions through research-based projects. She maintains a multidisciplinary practice combining new media, art, architecture and participatory activities.

She has curated the exhibitions Groundwork: From the Archives Up at Gaffa Gallery, User Generated Architecture: raumlabor Berlin at the Sydney Architecture Festival and The Third Landscape at Tin Sheds Gallery. Current projects include research on public architecture at the New South Wales Government Architect archives and The Long Paddock, a collaborative investigation into cultural landscapes of stock routes. Her writings have appeared in POL Oxygen, Artichoke, Landscape Architecture Australia, ArchitectureAU and Realtime. Joni has a Masters by Research (Design) focusing on Utopian Architecture and was a founding member of Free Soil.
