Daniel Conway
Dr Daniel Conway is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster. Through a sociological, cultural and ethnographic lens he explores questions of race, gender, violence and identity in world politics.
He has completed a book project on the everyday lives of white British-born migrants in contemporary South Africa, investigating their transnational, raced and classed identities as well as their experience of places, spaces and belonging. He is also interested in militarisation, masculinities, political authoritarianism and the possibilities for protest and dissent.
