G-String (Gerry Archer) is a UK-based calypsonian of Guyanese/African parentage with over twenty five years of singing Calypso and performing steel pans and other musical art forms. He is currently a member of the Association of British Calypsonians and a Member of King Shumba Social enterprise, supporting training and educational development in the Gambia and West Africa.

G-String is 2016 ABC Calypso Monarch, 2015 ABC Groovy Soca Runner-up, 2015 ABC Calypso King of the Tent, Calabash Awards 2015 UK Calypso Artist of the Year.
