Professor Laleh Khalili is an award-winning academic and writer based at SOAS, University of London. She has done extensive ethnographic research across the Middle East, especially Israel and Palestine, around issues of commemoration and identity, violence and gender, and policing and detention.

She is currently working a significant research project on the political economy of war and global logistics infrastructures, with a specific focus on the Middle East.
